With the passing of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), there has been a dramatic raise in the amount of information related to research funding opportunities being established or increased by the law. This website provides links to ARRA-specific websites for major federal agencies receiving R&D funding as well as other related websites.

from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID)
from Texas A&M
from the National Science Foundation (NSF)
from the Foundation Center
from the Social Science Research Council (SSRC)
from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
from the National Cancer Institute (NCI)
from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS)
In addition, the Proposal Development Unit offers a Principles of Grantsmanship course (CID 002) at the beginning of every academic year and a proposal review service that is available to all UPRM personnel. If you would like to have PDU personnel review your proposal , please submit your request here.

As part of the requirements for most proposals, there is a need for institutional data related to student population, available equipment and resources, researchers demographics, etc. We are working on providing researchers a consolidated source for retrieval of this data. At the time, we have compiled a list of links to different UPRM web pages containing such information. In the near future, we expect to be able to provide researches with up-to-date write-ups that can be easily inserted into proposals.
