Operations & Maintenance

The R&D Center Operations and Maintenance Office is responsible for the maintenance of the facilities and premises of the R&D Center. These include janitorial services, as well as electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and grounds maintenance. It also provides support to all R&D Center tenants, including those associated to externally-funded research enterprise, and serves as liaison to the security guards.

    Maintenance: The Operations & Maintenance office provides a wide range of services in support of R&DCs grounds and facilities. These include carpentry, equipment and furniture moving and installation, janitorial services, painting, and plumbing services among others.

    Coordination: Our office is also responsible for coordinating services provided by UPRM’s Department of Buildings and Grounds. To avoid duplicity of requests, and to give follow up to the applications, the services must be requested to the R&DC Operations and Maintenance Office. Some of these services are: electrical services, health and security, key and lock systems, official vehicle repairs and maintenance, refrigeration services, roof sealing, waste disposal, and tree care.
